LCdr Juneau joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1995 as part of a Naval Reserve pilot project, serving as an Ordinary Sailor (Boatswain) aboard HMCS Champlain in Chicoutimi. During her years in the Naval Reserve, she had the opportunity to sail on Anticosti-class vessels (mine countermeasures), Halifax-class ships (anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare), Kingston-class vessels (coastal defense, surveillance, and mine countermeasures), and Victoria-class submarines, as part of a pilot project aimed at integrating women into submarine crews. During her time as a Non-Commissioned Member, she also had the opportunity to conduct public relations for the Royal Canadian Navy as a Free companion with the Compagnie Franche de la marine in Québec, traveling across Canada and the United States.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from UQAC–UQTR (2001), a graduate-level specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) focused on children aged 0 to 12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from Université Laval (2005), and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational (I‑O) Psychology from Capella University (2017). In her master’s research, she focused on personnel assessment centers, specifically examining how assessors’ cognitive abilities influence their decision-making and judgment processes, as well as rating accuracy. She began a doctorate in Clinical Psychology but had to pause her studies for several years due to time constraints. She is currently completing a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Capella University. Her research interests focus on survival and motivational psychology, change management, emotional regulation, performance, personality, and cognitive flexibility in organizations.

LCdr Juneau has been a Personnel Selection Officer (PSO) since 2007 and joined the Military Psychology and Leadership (MPL) department in 2018. As an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, she has explored various work environments, including strategic deployments, recruiting (CFRG HQ), special forces (CANSOFCOM–CSOR), research, human dimension advisor, policy and selection (DPGR‑4), as well as several strategic headquarters (Royal Canadian Navy Command, Canadian Defence Academy, Military Personnel Generation Group, and the Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre). LCdr Juneau has a strong interest in behaviour modeling, workplace behaviours, mentorship, cognitive psychology, recruiting, selection, personality traits, and change management. She enjoys integrating different psychological dimensions to develop new perspectives adapted to the evolving realities faced by the CAF, and above all, to open minds. LCdr Juneau will complete her doctorate in 2028 and will retire the same year with over 32 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces.
